These two photos first pulled me close to photography.
It was merely four months ago, during my summer school at Venice International University, there happened to be "Festa del Redentore", which is famous for the brilliant firework show in Giudecca, people from all Venice, including tourists from all over the world, stop by and watch the firework at night, from San Marco to Giudecca across the sea, it is crowded with people every year this time.
These two pictures were taken during that event, it happened to be such a brilliant sunset on the horizon, the cloud was warmly burned on the remaining sun flame, big chunks of cloud turning red, pink, purple. Adding the gorgeous firework show, that particular day made a double enjoyment for the festival.
At that time I was heavily influenced by Casey Neistat and determined to be a film maker, never considered about photography, yet these two photos turned out to be pretty eye catching, even though I shot them on auto mode (as I always did until this September) I realized that it is possible for me to take beautiful pictures.
So that marks a start of my photography passion.
