The texture of a tree is charming

Today is friday, one step into weekend, everybody feels a little extra cheerful.
The day was cloudy and rainy though.

Cool breeze running through the campus, I went around aimlessly trying to spot something unusual in the not so bright day.

First thing caught my eye was the red flower, perfectly red, but so tiny so vulnerable, everything around it was dark green and dying yellow. Nice, easily perfectly pop up the flower's color. Took the shot half crouching, using 14mm Samyang ultra wide angle lens it was not easy to get a good frame, manual focus costs me some extra effort as well. In the post I made the color tone warm, just because it fits the feel of the environment.

Second, tree. As the title said, the texture of trees are fascinating, it's hard to resist the urge to capture the sharpest texture with a camera. Still wide lens, but this time it seemed much more appropriate, the entire tree trunk was in focus, the distortion of an ultra wide lens combines the natural shape of the trunk made it pop up even more. In the post, ad green and yellow saturation on the background, try to keep the tree color orginial but add some more sharpness on it.

Third one is just another tree shot, a peek inside of the tree hole.

Here is a test video with Samyang 14mm to capture the tree: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjbgIgIi8Qk
