1. Super duper light, it's pretty much entirely made of plastic
2. Auto focus is super duper slow, especially in low light, it's near non-existent. Not recommended for shooting moving subject, even if the subject just simply walking towards you can mess up the focus.
3. The noise is audible but not so annoying for me personally speaking, I can live with that. When shooting video auto focus doesn't function, I don't understand why so many people on Youtube expressed their concerns about the noise during video shooting.
4. Smooth focus ring, nice for manual, make up for the slow auto focus I guess.
5. Much less fringe than my Samyang 85mm f1.4
6. Great bokoh at f1.8
Despite all those disadvantages listed above, this is a great overall lens for beginners, after all, you get what you paid for, 250 dollars is really a great price, however, I wonder how would it perform with non-native 50mm with adapter?
Very looking forward to shooting some portraiture next week with my friends, I hope it can earn its right to replace my kit lens with Sony A7.
At last, a link to the review of this lens on DxOMark:
