Da Vinci Resolve vs Premiere Pro CC vs Corel VideoStudio x9: Which is the best video editing software for you?

As soon as I learned that Da Vinci Resolve offers a free version of its powerful editing software I immediately downloaded it in hope of replacing Premiere pro to save some money.
So here's some thoughts and experience I had using all these three editing software.
My first impression of Resolve is: holy cow the user interface is beautiful! In comparison Premiere pro's UI just looks dull and boring.
As I played around with Resolve a little I just fell in love with it, it is freaking powerful and cool to use, it's very different from Premiere so it takes time to get used to but it is awesome and I don't know why they offer it for free. So I decided to cancel my subscription to Premiere Pro, goodbye monthly bill from Adobe!
Then comes the problem of Resolve, at first I didn't pay much attention as I was overwhelmed by the joy of finding such a great alternative solution to the expensive Adobe subscription: the preview during editing is so laggy, it is impossible to play any clip smoothly without creating a proxy file, especially 4k footage and graded footage, it just become impossible to work with as it would take at least twice as much time to get the same job done. So I went online to search for a solution, and I read somewhere mentioned that Resolve is powerful but it also takes a very good computer to run it, so that's why everything is laggy when I edit? My computer is medium ranged laptop, it was good enough to edit 4k footage smoothly in Premiere without grading, but it's no where near being a top performer.
Since I already quit Premiere Pro, and resolve is not really working out for me, I had to return to the old Corel VideoStudio x9, after revisiting VideoStudio I realize just how good the other two software are, or rather, how poorly is VideoStudio designed. Okay, enough talk, now I list some of the pros and cons of each software for my work(aka casual videos and vlog etc)

1.Resolve: powerful editing and color grading tool, fun and enjoyable to use, beautiful user interface, quite different concept to premiere (nodes vs layers), takes too much computer power and my laptop can't really handle it well, not even the most simple editing actions. Fairly fast rendering speed.

2.Premiere Pro CC: powerful, professional, straight forward user interface, had no problem handling 4k footage on my potato computer as long as I don't color grade them. I'm most used to it's system and editing style but it is too EXPENSIVE. Super duper slow rendering speed, takes hours to export a fairly short 4k video project.

3.VideoStudio x9: the opposite of powerful, horrible looking user interface, not the easiest to use either. Color grading aspect is almost non-existent, a lot of out of date special effect and transitions. Timeline is much more rigid than premiere, makes it difficult to juggle multiple video and audio tracks. Very faster rendering speed, Excellent preview, I can just drag a 4k footage and move to any point I like without any lag issue, super smooth, because it creates a low resolution preview instantly after import a footage, this is the best trait of this software.

So in the end I abandoned Premiere Pro and I don't plan to go back to it unless I get rich someday, now my workflow comes to rely on both VideoStudio and Resolve: I use VideoStudio to do basic cutting, thanks to its super fast preview, it's so much easier to edit here. Then I export the video and color grade it in Resolve, since I already edited the video I won't need to do any editing therefore avoid the painful laggy part of the software and only use the powerful color grading tools. So that's how I've been making my videos recently.

All in all, I'd recommend anyone who has loads of money to just use premiere Pro, if you have a beasty computer, use Resolve! You get most of the features without paying a dime as long as your machine can handle it. If you are a beginner and your computer isn't great, use VideoStudio, it's not expensive, it's one time purchase and you get almost everything you need for basic editing, despite the bashing earlier, I still think it is worth the price and does offer a lot more than Windows Movie Maker for sure.

Here's a video of me talking about these three software:
