Just did a quick test, both shot in similar settings, indoor with one light on the side.
Testing lenses: Sony 28-70mm full frame kit lens & Samyang 85mm f1.4 lens (shot at f 2.0)
I use one camera to shoot another camera and viceversa
All images cropped to close up to the camera despite different focal length
Image exposure slightly adjusted in Lightroom
Spoiler alert
A6300 did better
--------------------------------------------------------
A7 28mm
A6300 28mm
-----------------------------------------
A7 70mm
A6300 70mm
----------------------------------------
A7 85mm
A6300 85mm
--------------------------------------
Full frame lens should perform worse on crop body(according to Tony Northrup's video)? But here A6300 absolutely outperformed it's older brother in this particular setting.
--------------------------------------
update
it just occur to me that it might be because crop body magnify the focal length therefore the camera shoots closer to the object, just look at the images shot on 28mm and 70mm, 70mm is significantly sharper, merely because the focal length is longer and it gets a much close-up shot. A new test is needed...
